Wheels for the World: Restoring mobility. Renewing dignity.

About The Project

Angel of God Mission International partners with Joni & Friends and local churches to collect, refurbish, and distribute used wheelchairs to people with disabilities around the world. Each chair represents renewed freedom—the ability to move, work, learn, and participate fully in community life.

Our volunteers collect wheelchairs locally in Massachusetts and help prepare them for shipment. The chairs are repaired and assembled by skilled teams—often inmates in rehabilitation programs—then shipped to partners in Ghana, Kenya, and other nations where mobility aids are scarce.
Through every delivery, we not only provide a wheelchair, but also share the message of God’s love and the hope of independence for those who once felt forgotten.

A man sitting in a wheelchair, wearing a yellow hoodie and green patterned shorts, is talking to a man in a gray polo shirt, who is holding his head in his hands, at an empty conference or waiting area with rows of black chairs.

Why It Matters

In many parts of the world, a wheelchair can mean the difference between isolation and independence. By restoring and delivering these chairs, we give individuals the freedom to move, work, and live with dignity—reminding them that they are not forgotten.

Some Of The People We Helped

  • A woman sitting in a wheelchair outdoors, wearing a bright green top and colorful patterned skirt, holding two books, with a mobility aid wheel behind her, and a large vehicle and a wheelchair in the background.

  • A man wearing glasses and a colorful patterned shirt standing behind a young boy in a wheelchair. The man is gently touching the boy's head. There are other children and adults in the background outdoors near a stone building. The boy in the wheelchair is wearing a green plaid shirt and jeans.

  • A woman pushing a young boy in a wheelchair outside on a sunny day. The boy is holding a book and looking attentively. There is a car and some greenery in the background. The text overlay reads "Randy Ntiamoah - Accra."
