Wheels for Nigeria: Restoring mobility, one wheelchair at a time.

About The Project

Wheels for Nigeria is a multi-year outreach ministry initiated by Angel of God Mission in partnership with Joni and Friends. Its long-term goal is to ship and distribute wheelchairs to those in need across Nigeria, built on a local team of volunteers trained to deliver and fit them.

The work began in 2025 with the formation of a core team in Nigeria to plan and prepare for the Harvest Project. Each phase since has built local capacity first — training and equipping that team — before wheelchairs ever ship, so the people receiving them are supported by neighbors who know them, not a one-time visit.

Why It Matters

A wheelchair restores more than mobility — it restores independence, dignity, and access to community and church life. In Nigeria, many who need one simply have no way to get it. This project builds a sustainable, locally-led pipeline to change that, step by step:

2025 — Core team formed in Nigeria to plan and prepare for the Harvest Project.

2026 — Beyond Suffering Training equips that team with the disability-ministry foundation the work is built on.

2027 — Angel of God Mission hosts the International Family Retreat Nigeria and applies to Joni and Friends for a wheelchair allocation.

2027/2028 — The Wheels for Nigeria Harvest Project delivers and fits those wheelchairs across Nigeria.
